Retail sales increase in Latvia in September

Latvia’s retail sales rose 3.9% year-on-year in September, according to figures from the Riga-based Central Bureau of Statistics (CSB).
Retail sales of non-food products increased 7.6% year-on-year in September, while that of food products declined 1.9%. Sales of automotive fuels advanced 5.6%.
Retail sales through mail order houses or the Internet increased the most by 22.6%. Sales of clothing, footwear and leather goods 11.1% and those of hardware, instruments, construction materials and sanitary equipment 10%.
On a monthly basis, retail sales rose 0.4% seasonally adjusted in September.
