Novaland Target Markets – VnExpress International

Land funds and market expansion strategy
At the beginning of March, Novaland announced that it would be the promoter of the Grand Sentosa project (Nha Be district). The company has also studied a number of projects in the Thu Thiem region.
Novaland’s land fund expansion strategy is reflected in other areas. While this unit previously focused on HCMC and some southern border markets including Dong Nai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Binh Thuan, it has recently approached and sought land funds in various locations including Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, Khanh Hoa and Phu Yen.
Besides, Novaland intends to release more than 15,000 new items in 2022. In particular, the company launched Long Island, an area of about 30 hectares in the Ba Ria-Vung Tau market. The company is also studying a land fund planned for Safari, as well as other locations totaling around 3,000 hectares.

Novaland recently completed a 3,000 hectare merger and acquisition land fund in Phan Thiet. The company is expected to launch the NovaWorld Mui Ne project, which spans over 700 hectares, in April this year. The group aspires to create a resort tourism megacity with a variety of product lines targeting high-end customers.
Novaland has also announced its ambition to enter the Khanh Hoa market in 2019. The investor is expected to announce the launch of Novaworld, a 600-hectare project near Tran Phu Street in Nha Trang, in June this year.
The company is also targeting the Lam Dong market with Lien Khuong-Prenn urban area in Duc Trong district, which spans over 3,000 hectares, and NovaWorld Da Lat, on the scale of 1,000 hectares.
The group is still carrying out M&A projects on a scale of more than 600 hectares in Dong Nai, where the smart eco-urban zone Aqua City is being built. The 280-hectare NovaWorld Lang Co project will also be launched in Hue by the property developer.
“We consider many factors when deciding where to invest, including tourism potential, infrastructure connectivity and expectations to transform this location into a new tourist destination, contributing to the regional economy, as we have done in Binh Thuan with NovaWorld Phan Thiet, Centara Mirage Mui Ne Resort, PGA Golf and Ba Ria-Vung Tau with NovaWorld Ho Tram,” a Novaland representative said.
Target 100,000 products in 5 years
After five years on the HCM (HoSE) Stock Exchange, Novaland (NVL) has grown from a residential real estate company in HCMV to one of Vietnam’s leading urban developers, with a portfolio of projects including urban real estate and touristic urban real estate.
The company owned 668 hectares of land in HCMC at the time of listing, which grew to 2,700 hectares in 2018 and approximately 10,600 hectares at the end of 2021.
Its gross development value (GDV) has increased from $52 billion to $71 billion. The company’s net worth is valued at VND324 trillion ($14.1 billion) based on projects under construction, which is 2.2 times its current market capitalization and can increase by up to 120%.
Novaland’s major projects, when developed and completed, are expected to generate revenues of VND36 trillion, VND31 trillion and VND10 trillion, respectively.
Many important projects, such as the NovaWorld Phan Thiet project, follow the direction of the national transport system in the south.
The 1,000 hectare project is on track for completion in 2023, five years ahead of schedule. The developer has also closely monitored the implementation of major national transportation infrastructure projects in Binh Thuan and the southern vital economic zone, such as Phan Thiet Airport, Long Thanh International Airport and the Dau Sec-Phan Thiet highway.

In addition, NovaGroup and its main partners Novaland, Nova Service and Nova Consumer are establishing a comprehensive ecosystem of utility products and services so that Novaland projects become livable urban places for residents and major tourist destinations.
