GLN International to expand cross-border QR payment and ATM withdrawal service in Singapore and Vietnam

Seoul, South Korea, September 28, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — GLN International (CEO Jun-seong Han), a global financial network that facilitates cross-border mobile QR payments and ATM cash withdrawals for e-wallets and banking apps, announced that it has expanded its area of service to Singapore and Vietnam.

GLN users not only benefit from the convenience of payment, but also from low transaction fees compared to credit or debit cards with the launch of the QR payment service in Singaporethanks to GLN’s local partnership with Liquid Group.
Liquid Group, a Singaporemobile payment platform service provider, operates the XNAP QR payment network in 32,000 affiliated stores, including hawker centers and Changi Airport.
The service is user-friendly, which has become a primary payment option for travelers in Thailand, resulting in an exponential growth of monthly transactions, supposed to facilitate the journey of travelers in Singapore as well.
In addition to QR payment in SingaporeGLN has added a QR withdrawal service that allows Koreans to travel Vietnam to easily withdraw cash from approx. 1,600 ATM devices located at major tourist attractions and shopping malls by partnering with the largest commercial bank in VietnamBIDV (Investment and Development Bank Vietnam).
Previously, tourists using the overseas ATM withdrawal service had to pay overseas transaction fees with a high exchange rate while facing the risk of card skimming.
However, this cross-border cardless withdrawal service first developed as a Korean fintech company is expected to improve user experience by allowing customers to withdraw from ATMs simply by QR authentication.
GLN International is a fintech subsidiary spun off from Hana Bank for its global networking activity in July last year, which currently provides services in hong kong, Japan, Laos, Taiwan, Thailandand Vietnam.
