Construction company British has been appointed prime contractor to achieve a £ 16million expansion for Ideal Heating at its head office in Hull.
The 116,000 square foot expansion will more than double the size of the existing warehouse, allowing the company to increase production of low carbon heating products. It will be also include the construction of a new office building, a parking lot and infrastructure works including a new access road to the site. Ideal Heating employs over 750 people in Hull and another 250 elsewhere in the UK.
In 2019, it became the first boiler manufacturer in the world to be ISO 50001 certified for energy management, achieving this international standard through measures including the use of renewable materials and energy resources in its design process. and production.

GGP Consult has been appointed to work alongside the two companies to provide project management, structural, civil and architectural services on the project. Construction will begin this month with delivery scheduled for fall 2022.
