Brand Overview: Hyatt Place to Increase Global Presence by 89 Properties [Infographic]

Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s upscale Hyatt Place brand will grow significantly in the coming years – it currently has 89 projects with 15,938 rooms in the works, according to our researchers. We learn more about Hyatt Place’s development ambitions.
Hyatt Place openings per year
By the end of 2021, seven new Hyatt Place properties with a total of 1,626 keys are expected to be commissioned. 26 other programs will follow in 2022, adding 4,620 keys to the brand’s offering.
2023 will be the busiest year of the lot, with 31 projects and 5,377 rooms to be completed. Finally, for 2024 and beyond, 25 additional properties with 4,315 keys have already been offered.
Key Growth Areas for Hyatt Place
Hyatt Place will see the strongest growth in APAC by far – here 45 hotels with 8,999 rooms will open soon. China is the fastest growing domestic market in this region, with 32 programs and 6,687 keys on the books, well ahead of India’s closest challenger, which will see eight projects with 1,233 rooms open for business. .
With 35 additional properties and 5,225 rooms, North America is another important growth engine for the brand. Unsurprisingly, perhaps, the United States takes the lion’s share of this activity, with 25 projects and 3,722 keys lined up.
Things are moving relatively slowly for Hyatt Place in the rest of the world. There are six projects on the cards in Europe, two in Latin America and one in the Middle East.
Interesting Hyatt Place properties on the horizon
By mid-2022, Hyatt Place Krakow will open. The 216-room hotel will be located in an upscale area west of the city center, just a 15-minute walk from the famous National Museum, Jagiellonian University and the Old Town. It will include 300m² of practical meeting space plus a 180m² training space connected to a relaxation area offering dry and steam saunas, as well as two F&B outlets, the Zoom restaurant and the Lobby Bar.
In Germany, Hyatt Place Düsseldorf MercedesstraÃe will be ready for launch by mid-2024. Part of the larger campus development and Tadao Ando Tower, this 300-room hotel will sit alongside a magnificent glass tower and offices. It is important to note that the city’s international airport, the exhibition grounds and the Messe Düsseldorf conference center are also just a ten-minute drive away.
